The garden has too much stuff, we would like it to go to a good home.  Please contact us if you are interested in

55 Gallon ‘Olive Barrels’ that can be converted to Rain Barrels. We are happy to show you how we converted three of these to rain barrels. We don’t need these three, they are available for a donation to the garden. They don’t have tops, but we can show you how we covered ours with screening secured by bike tubes.

Two people could move one by subway.

Garden Gourmet modular compost bins, we have two of these available. These are the same type available through NYC’s Compost Program. From the LESEC they cost $65 each. We have built them up to double height, but they can be rebuilt into two separate bins again, or make your own construction.  We can show you how we used parts from a third bin to create a compost sifter – or use your imagination to build something new. Available for a donation to the garden.  The parts are quite bulky, it would be best if you had a car to move these.

Metal rat-proof compost bin. This was purchased from LESEC for $20. It is a small metal galvanized bin for composting in places where rats are a problem.  Our feral cat colony is working hard to be sure that there are no rats around here.  So we don’t need this bin. This would be easy for one person to move by subway. Available for a donation to the garden.

Could be good for sidewalk composting?

This compost bin taken!
